The 42" flanged butterfly valve is used for on/off control of the flow of water, air, and oil.
The 42" flanged butterfly valve has flanges on both sides of its body, allowing it to be bolted directly to pipe flanges, which provides a more secure installation and more reliable sealing performance.
The valve body is made of ductile iron, with epoxy coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and extended service life. It features a 316 stainless steel disc and a 316 stainless steel stem.
The valve can be worm gear operated, utilizing a worm gear mechanism with a quarter-turn handwheel to open or close the valve, allowing for precise adjustment of its position.
The EPDM stem seals offer excellent resistance to water, steam, and mild chemicals, ensuring reliable sealing performance across a wide temperature range.
The EPDM seat provides a tight shutoff and ensures sealing between the disc and the valve body.
The butterfly valve features a concentric design, in which the turning axis and axial alignment of the disc are both centered with the valve body, making it compact and cost-effective.
The valve is rated ANSI Class 150, with a maximum working pressure of approximately 285 psi (at 100°F).
